In this example I'll show you the meaning of the "Cloud" device. The NETMAP file is build as usually:
10:0/1 11:0/0 10:0/2 12:0/0 10:0/0@iou 1023:0/0@iou
You can see a different syntax: the "Cloud" link needs to specify the hostname of the IOU VM. The program which manages the uplink to the real network looks for a special ID: 1023. This ID is mapped to the secondary virtual NIC and permits communications between IOU and the physical network.
Pay attention, before starting the Cloud device, you must start the device connected to the Cloud. In this example you must start R10 before the Cloud.
Remember: only one Cloud device is permitted.
Q AgPysical Network ConnectionUsing the Cloud device to connect IOU with pysical networks.
This example well show the meaning of the "Cloud" device. The NETMAP file is built as usually:
10:0/1 11:0/0 10:0/2 12:0/0 10:0/0 1023:0/0
A Cloud device is defined by the Cloud picture: in other words a device is managed as a Cloud if it has the Cloud picture configured. The ethernet field must be filled with the ethernet interface associated with the Cloud.
Many Cloud can be configured.
